Dr. Anthony Fauci, The Chief Medical Adviser, has advocated the use of booster shots as the effectiveness of vaccines is diminishing and people need something strong to keep themselves protected. The only concern regarding the Omicron variant is that most of its mutations are spike proteins, and if the spike protein is of a different shape the vaccine won’t work efficiently.
The variant is already spreading at a great speed and vaccine booster shots are the only way to prevent the spread.
