Pfizer Might Apply For Vaccine Approval For Kids Below 5
The delta variant coronavirus has been said to be very dangerous for kids and to protect children, Pfizer got authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration to start the vaccination drive for the kids between 5-11 years.
The step taken by the Biden’s Administration was welcomed by many health professionals in the United States as protection of the kids was very important at that particular point in time. Also, with the approaching cold weather and Christmas Day festive season, experts believe that the Covid 19 virus will spread more fastly as people will celebrate and conduct indoor and outdoor gatherings.
The New omicron virus has arrived in the United States and has traveled to 6-7 states and the first case was found in the state of California on 1st December and since that day the demand to increase protection for kids below 5 years increased.
Pfizer has released an announcement that they are working on collecting more important data about the vaccination for children below the age of 5 in the US.
The CEO of Pfizer, Albert Boria said that we are expecting a lot more good and informative data on kids below 5 years receiving vaccination by the end of 2021. He also stated that the vaccination train has begun and this trial has become more important after the introduction of the Omicron variant in the world.
As per some reports, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna are planning to start the pediatric vaccine trials in some days.
In the United States, kids between 5-11 can get vaccinated to safeguard against the covid 19 virus The State governments and Federal Government are encouraging more and more parents to get their kids vaccinated and offer them complete protection.
Right now kids less than 5 years are not eligible to receive covid 19 vaccines but soon they will also become eligible if all the clinical trials offer positive results, as per Pfizer.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Chief Medical Adviser has also stated that we are working on protecting your children below 5 and we assure parents won’t be waiting much to get their kids vaccinated. As per his analytics and statistics, he stated that in a very short span of time vaccines will be available but without proper information and clinical results available, I can’t assure anything.
Since there is no news available when Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will start their pediatric clinical trials, it is good news that kids below 5 will start getting vaccinations very soon if everything goes as per the plan.
