On 4 December 2021, New York City witnessed 5 omicron variants in a single day and it created a sense of tense situation amongst the citizens. On the other hand, The Governor of NYC, Kathy Hochul released a statement via her official Twitter handle and stated that there is no need to panic and the situation is under control. We are continuously in touch with the higher health care officials in the state and planning some better ways to reduce further outspread of this variant.

It must be noted that the person detected in the Minnesota state visited New York to attend an anime event at the Manhattan center. The infected person was fully vaccinated. 


As per the official news from the New York State, The Mayor, Bill de Blasio has imposed strict vaccination rules for the employees working in private organizations. 

According to the Mayor, all the private employees are under the strict rule of vaccine mandate and the customers need to show proof of the fully vaccinated to get an entry for the indoor dining, fitness centers, and entertainment venues. 

Also, from 14th December 2021, if you want to carry your kids to all these venues, the proof of one vaccination is mandatory and from 27th December, citizens of 12 and above years have to showcase the proof of two vaccine doses of Pfizer and Moderna and one vaccine dose proof for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. 

These steps have been taken keeping in mind the upcoming Christmas festival season as more and more people will gather to celebrate and it will surely lead to the wide outbreak of the Covid 19 cases in the State. 

Mayor Bill de Blasio has stated that approximately 184,000 corporations will come under this vaccine mandate rule from 27th December 2021. 

As per health experts, the delta variant is very deadly for the kids and the federal Government nodded yes to the vaccination of kids between 5-11 to reduce the risk level. Mayor also released a statement that if children of 5-11 years old need to participate in activities like sports, band, and dance, they have to get vaccinated as these events are considered high-risk activities and can cause much danger to the health of the kids.
