The national medical agencies in the United States are continuously working to curb the newly detected omicron variant. With more than 800,000 deaths in the United States which is 2 percent of the total infected population, doctors are working hard to reduce this death rate in the near future.
The Omicron variant which is considered to carry more transmissible power will spread faster than the delta variant.
Vaccination Under Scrutiny As Maximum Infected Cases Of The Omicron Variant Has Been Detected
Now as per the analysis from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Omicron variant will spread in the United States in the upcoming weeks as it is expected that more people will move to their homes to celebrate Christmas Day with their families and Loved ones.
The National Center for Biotechnology Information has suspected out of the tested samples and found various patterns created by the new subtype of covid 19.
According to the CDC last week’s analysis report, the average daily cases in the United States have crossed more than 120,000 and approximately more than 99 percent of the cases have been detected from the delta Variant of Coronavirus. The data provided clearly states that the delta variant is still more lethal and will remain the same no matter what type of variants are being introduced or not.
The data which has been circulated in the news by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, till now 43 cases have been found, and most are from international travelers. The major concern is that almost 80 percent of the infected citizens are fully vaccinated and around 30 percent had also received booster shots.
Although as per many healthcare experts in the US, the available data source is not sufficient to come to a conclusion, in the long run, the vaccines will be less effective to fight against the high mutant infection omicron.
It has been claimed by some sources that the roots of this variant have been connected with Hong Kong and currently crossed more than 20 international borders.
The US Food and Drug Administration has also taken many steps to reduce the further spread of the omicron strain in the United States. An Official stated that the omicron infection is more prone to kids and adults, and approved the booster shots for the 16-17 years old teenagers in the US.
The CDC covid 19 Surveillance System has been working on improving the detection of omicron variants before it is get widely spread in the United States as because of the rise in the cold weather the rate of infection and hospitalization will increase very fastly.
After detecting the first omicron variant case in the State of California on 1st December, Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that he is not surprised at all, and in the upcoming days the cases will further rise and will be found in every state. In more than 25 states there is at least one case of a new strain of covid 19.
