The increasing number of Covid 19 cases in the United States have become a prominent issue and major health authorities in the country are working together to safeguard the lives of their citizens.

The Omicron variant has created a ruckus in the United States as the cases have reached a tally of 43 and the State of New York has been majorly hit by this variant by detecting 20 confirmed cases. Last week, the New York City Governor, Kathy Hochul announced the mask mandate rule and its applicability implemented this week only.

This mandate is applicable to all to get entry to any indoor events like shopping, gaming venues, restaurants as more people will gather during the Christmas festival season and it will give rise to the omicron variant in the United States.
The medical experts are comparing Christmas festival time with the Thanksgiving festive season as the major rise in cases has started during this time period only.
It must be noted that a few states which include California, New York, and Connecticut, where the mask mandate rule is not applicable to fully vaccinated citizens. On the other hand, some states like Oregon, Washington, Nevada, New Mexico, and some others have come up with complete mandate rules no matter who is vaccinated or not.
As per the reports, not all state authorities are in favor of the mask mandates for their citizens as it will be unlawful.
All the State Governors are pledging their citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible as the vaccine will keep them more protected and safer. The booster shots must be a priority for the eligible adults as it offers instant power to the immunity system and has proved to be very effective to fight against the new variant in the US.
