It is almost two years now since the pandemic has started. The last two years were not easy for anybody; people have seen and gone through so much. We did not have any vaccine against the fastest spreading covid-19 virus.
Which Vaccine Is Better For Coronavirus? Here Is The Comparison
After so many experiments and research, three vaccines were made. Each of these vaccines was different in all terms. As of now, several types of research have been done about the effectiveness of various vaccines against the virus. All these vaccines were tested and then used by people.
The work of covid-19 vaccines is to help the immune system of a human body identify the virus and prepare antibodies to fight against it. Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna, and Pfizer are the manufacturers’ names, and all the vaccines are known by these names only.
Recently a study has been conducted by many scientists. This study was all about the comparison between all three vaccines. All these vaccines were very different in terms of mechanism and dosage. But the one common thing between all three of them is that they target and focus mainly on the spikes present in the virus. Attacking those spikes will not let the virus bind itself with the body cells.
To study the impact of the different vaccines on different people, a total of 215 blood samples of healthy adults were collected. The adults in groups consist of people who received one or two vaccines. There were different sets of people on which the various tests were conducted. The other locations of people include people who have not to be vaccinated, people who have been partially vaccinated, and also people who have never been affected from covid-19.
According to the tests conducted on various people from different sets of the group, it was found that. This varied range of vaccination opens up the dilemma to choose the idle one for our protection.
Moderna& Pfizer vaccines created made almost the same amount of concentration of antibodies. This concentration of antibodies is 100 times more than that of Johnson & Johnson/Janssen. It was also found that people who recovered from covid-19 had the same concentration of antibodies as those who received Moderna and Pfizer.
In the complete lockdown, we faced two problems. One is the failure of the vaccines, and the other begins the inability of people to get vaccinated. People had no idea about the various vaccines and were also worried about the side effects of different vaccines. This concentration of antibodies is ten times more than that of the antibodies produced by Johnson & Johnson.
However, another analysis conducted by Gaurav Gaiha, who was the MD of Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard, concluded that Johnson & Johnson’s vaccines had more potential of making the CD4 T cells. CD4 T cells are immune cells; however, the level of CD4T cells produced by Johnson & Johnson is lower than that of Moderna& Pfizer.
Alejandro Balazs, Ph.D., later conducted a study on the ability and capacity of the vaccine to neutralize the effect of the virus on the body. Balazs and his team studied the power of the vaccines to work against various variants, which came along the way. The variants include beta, gamma, and delta. It was found that the beta virus can be easily escaped from the survivance of the immune system. Balazs also suggested that other variants, gamma, and delta tend to multiply or replicate themselves; this can be the main reason behind them spreading so fast.
On the whole, the result stated that people who received the Moderna vaccine were the least at while others were at 1.53 times (Pfizer vaccine) and 2.53 times (Johnson & Johnson) greater.
