The New York State has been under great havoc of rising omicron variant cases. The new variant infection cases are increasing tripled fold and a double positivity rate has been detected in less than a span of 10 days.
13 More Testing Location Started In New York For Test Frequency!
Kathy Hochul, The Governor of New York State has been continuously monitoring the increasing cases and has been taking some serious steps to curb the cases and safeguard the lives of the citizens in New York.
The Central Government also took some major precautionary steps and directed all the states in the US to increase the testing centers and the Governors also informed the Mayors of the concerned counties to start increasing the testing so that more citizens must come out and get themselves tested for the infection.
Earlier this month Governor Hochul introduced the mask mandate rule for the unvaccinated citizens and they have to show proof of vaccination while entering any public places.
Kathy Hochul announced on Monday that the government has been adding 13 new testing centers in the state to allow more people to come out and get tested and if they get some symptoms then surely they will be isolated.
The major motive behind increasing the testing sites is to provide additional testing options to the citizens and it will help in reaching locations where the cases are increasing at a very fast pace which includes, New York City, Central New York, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier regions and many more.
As per the data available, the current status of the New York state is not good enough as the cases are getting tripled and the positivity rate also got doubled which will lead to more hospitalization.
She has also announced that our administration is available every time to protect our citizens in New York because the winter surge is just next door and we are trying to prevent the infection from entering our home. Although the cases have already broken the previous records, right now the security of our population is of utmost priority.
We are working very closely with the federal government to set up more testing centers in the state and our mission is to make the testing easily accessible for all and in some days we will reach each and every corner of the state.
More testing locations will soon be announced till then time to get yourself tested and in case of infection quarantine yourself immediately.
The testing sites will start to operate from 29th December 2021. We are also working on fixing the working hours and days which are directly related to the location and the testing frequency.
As per the reports, the Government is planning to buy 500 million more testing kits for the citizens which will eventually take 2 months as stated by President Biden in a press briefing at the White House.
