The health department observed that the virus has been increased by multiple times now. They noted that children below age 18 have been more hospitalized. This suggests that people who have not been vaccinated are in more danger.

The entire nation completely focused more on vaccinating people, but it failed to have and give access to the testing kits to people. This loophole of the government is being criticized a lot.

They compared the new variant with the previous ones and came to this conclusion. They also mentioned that low severity could be easily overlapped by its fast-spreading speed.
The new increase in the cases of covid has resulted in the cancellation of 800 plus flights. The present cases have spiked and crossed the numbers of cases in the last winter. As of now, 70% of cases of covid are that of the new variant.
