State Governors Must Take The Charge Of Handling The Upcoming Wave

The covid cases are on the rise in some major states like New York, New Jersey, Texas, Ohio, California, and some others too. The State governments are in direct connection with the White House and have been receiving directives to fight against the increasing cases.

State Governors Must Take The Charge Of Handling The Upcoming Wave

The Governor of New York State yesterday announced the news of setting up 13 new testing centers in the State after President Joe Biden directed all the states to pump up the testing facilities in the country in order to isolate people who possess symptoms of covid 19.

State Governors Must Take The Charge Of Handling The Upcoming Wave

As per some reports, it has been observed that the American population expressed less trust in President Joe Biden’s ability to manage the COVID after the Omicron variant disrupted the holiday season and accelerated the pandemic’s timeline. The strategies to curb the virus followed by the White House are ineffective and no proper actions have been taken by the administration as the cases touch sky.

According to the data available, citizens tend to show more confidence in their state governments’ ability to deal with the cases over the Federal Government’s rules and policies.

President Joe Biden recently pledged to continue the fight against the pandemic by providing more COVID testing equipment to the state government and promised to provide 500 million testing kits in a span of 2 months so that there should be no shortage of testing facilities in the country. He also asked the leaders to play their part in the fight against COVID and keep on motivating their population to stay calm and don’t create a havoc situation and strictly follow the protocols laid by the medical authorities.

Now in some states, there is a shortage of medications and the federal government controls the distribution process of medicines and after medical staff shortages, medicines are the only way to keep patients protected in the hospitals.

According to President Joe Biden, there is no federal solution, and that it must be the duty of the state governments to resolve to fight the upcoming wave of the new variant of covid 19. He also stated that federal medical authorities are closely connected with the state health care facilities and it will be necessary for both state and local governments to work together to combat the spread of omicron variants across the country and safeguard the precious lives of our citizens.

In some states, military deployment has already started and the Biden administration has deployed 1000 military medical personnel to assist hospital staff across the country and offer basic help to the hospitals where there is a huge shortage of healthcare workers due to rising infection amongst them.

To manage the shortage of medical staff in the country, the US CDC has recommended shortening the isolation period of the staff members from 10 days to seven days and further to five days if there are no symptoms and the test comes out to be negative. Although some medical scholars are against this decision of the CDC, including Dr. Fauci.
