The most debatable topic in the world “rising cases of omicron” has been setting up new records on daily basis. Maximum countries have been under the havoc of this new variant of covid 19.
Breaking The Previous Record, COVID At Its Peak!
The United States, which has become the epicenter for the omicron version, has seen the most number of cases after almost 11 months. During the initial days of the covid 19 outbreak in the United States, the situation was very tense. But after almost 2 years the Covid 19 virus has become more lethal and it is getting more refined with the passage of time.
As per the current data available, on Tuesday, the United States witnessed the highest number of cases of the year which were 252,000 per day and the current stats show more than 265,000 cases in a day. These statistics have raised the eyes of health care officials wide open.
The medical experts are claiming that the rate at which the omicron cases are increasing in the country will break many new records and it will become very difficult to handle a situation from which coming back will look very tough.
According to the health care authorities in the United States, the upcoming wave will shake the country as the deadly combination of both variants, omicron and delta will hit badly. Also, currently, the rising cases can be seen in both versions of the coronavirus.
The hospitalization rate is increasing by almost 12 percent in the country and 75000 new hospital admissions were found against 68000 during the last week.
As per the reports, the death rate has been increasing with the rise in the cases, and last week around 1200 per day deaths were recorded against this week’s 1500 deaths per day. Although when compared to the previous year’s data the stats show fewer cases but medical experts are under stress thinking about the future rise of both variants.
As per the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 62 percent of the American population is fully vaccinated and 85 percent of the citizens have received at least a single dose of the vaccine. Also, around 30 percent of eligible adults have received booster shots in the United States.
Dr. Fauci is not very much impressed by the vaccination rate in the nation and highly disappointed by the unvaccinated citizens as they possess the major risk of carrying infection easily.
To curb the rising cases in the United States, both the federal government and state governments have to work in sync and reduce the political disparities if they are really concerned about their citizens’ lives.
The medical agencies are continuously warning the unvaccinated people to receive their vaccinations at the earliest as the non-vaccinated people are more vulnerable to the new variant and in order to stay secured and protected from the upcoming wave of the omicron and delta variant, the only vaccine that can provide that shield.
