With the collective efforts of the government, medical agencies, and citizens, New York State has started to see a major decline in the average number of daily cases and is sighing relief to the authorities.
According to the updates available, the government had set up several vaccination sites that are required for providing ease of access to the people after receiving directions from the White House.
Setting up new testing locations in different counties will help citizens to avoid standing in long queues and prevent overcrowding at various places. The 7-day average of the cases has been witnessing a declining graph at a much better speed.
This is a sign of positivity for everyone and hope for things to get better. However, one must not take the progress for granted and should keep on doing what they have been doing for so long.
The state reported a total number of 17,305 covid 19 cases out of 235,742 reports. The positivity rate stood at 7.34 percent which was around 9 percent the previous week. There is a slight decrease in both hospital admissions and death rates amongst severely infected patients. Currently, around 8000 patients have been admitted to different hospitals in New York.
Also, the state has witnessed a rise in hospital discharges which is giving positive signs to the healthcare authorities.
The spread of the omicron variant is thought to be caused due to the delay in the rates of vaccination. The vaccines were brought a lot of time later after the adults were allowed to get jabbed. The state is focusing on getting more and more people vaccinated and getting administered booster shots. It has become important for everyone to deal with the situation and ensure their survival.
