“I Can’t Live Like This Anymore”- Supermodel Linda Evangelista Explained About Her Coolsculpting Surgery

Evangelista explains that she had seven sessions of CoolSculpting surgery from August 2015 to February 2016. Just after three months of the surgery, she has noticed a few bulges under her chin, thighs, and upper back.

She said that the surgery was done to shrink these same areas. But the results were more hardened bulges that later turned into numbs.

She further explained, although she tried several diets and exercise to fix herself, nothing worked. When she consulted a doctor, it was revealed that she was diagnosed with Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH), a rare side effect of the CoolSculpting surgery.

A healthy diet or regular exercise will not help her to escape from this condition.

PAH is caused by the freezing process which promotes the expansion and thickening of the fat tissues.

She wrote in her Instagram, “I was brutally disfigured by Zeltiq’s CoolSculpting procedure which did the opposite of what it promised. It increased, not decreased, my fat cells and left me permanently e d formed even after undergoing two painful, unsuccessful, corrective surgeries. I have developed Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia or PHA, a risk of which I was not made aware before I had the procedures”.
