Finally, David Dobrik broke his silence on Jeff Wittek’s accident and the controversy surrounding the accident. In a recent podcast interview, he talked about the fatal accident that nearly blinded YouTuber Jeff Wittek.
So you must be thinking what does David Dobrik has got anything to do with Wittek’s accident? Well, it was David Dobrik driving that led to an accident that caused severe injuries to Wittek’s eyes. After recovering from the accident and injury, Wittek called out Dobrik and said that he is done being fake friends with some online creators.
Ever since people have been waiting for David Dobrik’s reaction to Wittek’s out lashes on him. When asked about the incident in the podcast interview, David Dobrik said that “The Jeff thing is the f–king worst.

That day is like, the worst, the worst thing that’s ever happened to me and I wish I would f–king do anything to take that day back and be like, I wish it was me up there. And it’s a s–tty, it’s an accident. That’s what it was. It’s an accident.”
David Dobrik also admitted his mistake by saying that he thought that he was making a funny video but forgot that he was driving the excavator which caused the accident.
He also said that he didn’t want to hurt him intentionally and he was the one who was driving the excavator and Jeff was hurt because he was driving it. He said that he would take back the incident if it’s possible and also stated that the jeff incident was his biggest regret.
The accident of Jeff Wittek happened in 2020. Wittek joined David Dobrik and his other YouTuber to make a funny video where everyone was seen holding on to a rope tied to an excavator vehicle that was placed in a lake. In the video, the group is seen holding on to the rope and swinging in the lake.
When Jeff was there to swing the rope, David was driving the excavator and the next thing that happened was a fatal accident that left Jeff with severe eye and head injuries which needed some surgeries to fix it.
It was not only the accident that triggered Jeff Wittek to outlash on David Dobrik but the fact that Dobrik didn’t text or called him after the accident and when he regained consciousness after his surgery, Jeff saw a video of Dobrik laughing and smiling on his Instagram and wasn’t even bothered about the accident that he caused to Dobrik.
But according to Dobrik, the reason why Jeff is upset with him is not him texting back but it was because of something that he has said in an interview which David promised would keep a promise between them. It was that the idea of swinging from the rope was actually Wittek’s idea.
David Dobrik is very sorry for what he had caused Wittek and considers it as his biggest regret, but doesn’t look like he is not planning to make things right with Jeff Wittek and it seems that the two will not be friends again.
