Tekken is coming to Netflix with Jin Kazama as the protagonist. Tekken is a 1994 original video game that was a global success and following the success came a number of adaptations.
Fans are on their toes thrilled for the upcoming release of the Tekken anime. A trailer was also released by the makers that covers an overview of the plot.
It’s Coming!! “TEKKEN: BLOODLINE” Anime To Netflix Featuring Jin Kazama As The Lead
The game turned out to be one of the highest-grossing games of that time selling more than 53.3 million units. More than a dozen movies and cartoons have been made under its name.
The video game has got its adaptations in many other mediums as in 1998, the game got its first anime adaptation, live-action adaptation in 2009, and an animated film in 2011. Tekken 7 is the latest version of the game which was released in 2015.

‘NetflixGeeked’ page on Twitter tweeted, “In the first animated series from the 3D fighting game TEKKEN, Jin Kazama goes on a heroic mission leading to the ultimate battle – the King of Iron Fist Tournament.” A small trailer of 1 and a half minutes has also been released following the tweet.
The tweet also gives us a hint that the series will be aired this year itself by quoting “TEKKEN: BLOODLINE comes to Netflix worldwide in 2022.”
The Plot Speculations
The trailer came as a delightful surprise for the fans worldwide. The lead Jin Kazama was taught self-defense martial arts by his mother, Jun Kazama.
Jin’s mother dies at the hands of Ogre, a monstrous being who feeds on humans. With rage in his heart, Jin decides to take his fight to The King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Jin aims for a prize in the global tournament which gives him control. In the end, as predicted by the fans, Jin’s grandfather turns out to be the villain of the story.
The trailer introduced most of the major characters in the story which include Leroy Smith, King, Paul Phoenix, Ogre, Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama.
As of now, it is likely to release the cast and production team soon although no official announcement has been made.
Release Date Announcement
Bad news for the fans as there is no official announcement of the release date. But it is stated in the tweet that the series will release worldwide on Netflix in 2022.
So, the wait cannot be long and Netflix streams the series immediately after it launches. We have a confirmation that even if it is the end of the year it will be released this year itself.
