Sixteen years have passed and still the “fish out of water romantic comedy” is fresh as a lemon. We are talking about the French rom-com The Valet.
The English remake of the French classic was announced a long time ago back in 2014. Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher started writing the screenplay after that and Richard Wong was set to direct the film.
It was in 2021 only the remake started shattering the silence. In the month of July, the Lionsgate rom-com acquired its U.S. distribution rights by Hulu.

The Valet Plot
The story revolves around a world-famous actress Olivia portrayed by Samara Weaving who finds herself in some sort of dilemma when a picture of her with her lover Vincent (Max Greenfield) who is married was taken by a paparazzi.
To avoid a PR nightmare Olivia decides to make her valet Antonio who was accidentally present in the photo pretend as her new lover. This hid Antonio’s true identity and forced him into the limelight.
Different worlds and entirely different cultures meet as the two of them find a common ground in humanity.
The Valet Cast
Eugenio Derbez plays the role of Antonio alongside Samara Weaving and Max Greenfield. Other cast members include Ravi Patel as Kapoor, Amaury Nolasco as Benny, John Pirruccello as Stegman, Noemi Gonzalez as Clara, Marisol Nichols as Isabel, and Carmen Salinas as Cecelia.
The Valet Release Date
The remake of the 2006 French romantic comedy The Valet is set to stream on Hulu in the spring of 2022. The official updates only confirm the spring release but the exact date is not yet out.
The post-production for the film began in November 2021 and the movie was announced complete in March 2022. The bar of hype for the film is kept a little high which is really helping the makers to reach out to many fans around the globe.
