The trailer shows the city of Gotham in chaos as the Joker (Cameron Monaghan) and his gang of villains wreak havoc on its citizens. The only one who can stop them is a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), training to become a masked vigilante known as Batman.
Bruce eventually puts on his costume, but not before we see him meet Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) for the first time — her cat burglar moniker is Catwoman in this universe — and see Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) become his butler.
Gotham Knight Trailer
The upcoming series will focus on the early days of Batman before he dons the cowl, and it kicks off with a fittingly somber tone. The trailer shows Bruce Wayne’s parents being gunned down by Joe Chill, who Michael Keaton played in 1989’s Batman.
The trailer then jumps to five years later, when a young Bruce (David Mazouz) has become obsessed with avenging his parents’ deaths. He’s still living with Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee), who warns him not to get involved with what happened that night. But Bruce refuses and runs away from home, setting off on a journey that eventually leads him to become the Caped Crusader.
The trailer is available to watch above and features Donal Logue’s voices as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, and Ben McKenzie as James Gordon. It also introduces the show’s version of Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). We also get our first look at Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), who will become The Penguin in later seasons of Gotham. He’s shown standing next to Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Professor Hugo Strange (Benedict Samuel).
Batman’s Death
Warner Bros company has unveiled the first trailer for Gotham City Sirens, an upcoming spinoff of the DC Extended Universe starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. The film is being directed by Suicide Squad helmer David Ayer and will focus on the female characters in the universe and their misadventures with each other. The film also stars John Cena as Dr. Hugo Strange and follows his research into creating a cure for the Joker’s venom-induced madness.
The first trailer kicks off with Batman’s death at the hands of The Joker — a moment that takes place in both Batman:
The Killing Joke and Batman: Endgame — before showing us the three women taking center stage for the rest of this preview. This is far from an origin story, though, as we see these women already in action, fighting crime together and living it up on their terms.

Conclusion
The video kicks off with a funeral — Batman’s funeral, to be exact. We then get glimpses of the show’s main characters, including Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee), and James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and Barbara Kean (Erin Richards). The trailer shows Selina coming face-to-face with her mother, Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas). In contrast, Bruce is shown waking up in bed next to Ivy Pepper (Maggie Geha) as Ivy says, “You’re my family now.” We also see Barbara take over as mayor of Gotham City, while Alfred tells her that he knows about her past with Ra’s al Ghul.
