Tyler Perry spoke openly about Chris Rock and Will Smith’s unexpected Oscars moment. Perry is 52 and is close to Smith, 53. “A Fall from Grace” actress was one of the many who walked up to Smith, 53, “Men in Black” actor after he hit Rock on stage for making fun of the wife of his Jada Pinkett Smith’s hairless head. The actor, who was on Monday’s show, shared the incident when Smith hit Rock during a Tribeca Film Festival Q&A with Gayle King.

“There’s a distinction between soothing and de-escalating,” Perry said, as reported by People. However, he did ensure his “King Richard” hero was aware that his actions were not right.
“I was there at close quarters. I left before dawn to see Chris since it was incorrect, and I informed Will that “Perry continued.”And I assure you, when we walked up to the man, he appeared astonished. He was stunned by what had happened, and he was stunned that he’d accomplished the thing. And I’m looking at him and asking him, “What’s your problem? This is your evening.’
The night was Smith’s “crowning moment,” according to Perry Smith, who said he wanted the moment “desperately.” This is why Smith, according to his assessment, seemed to be “very much in contemplation of trying to find out what occurred.”
