‘Dirty Dancing’ Sequel Sets 2024 Release “Are You There God? It’s Me Margret Pre-Summer 2023
The weekend before Valentine’s Day is Valentine’s Day weekend which is why Universal is currently marketing an unnamed animated movie.
Additionally, Lionsgate’s adaptation of Judy Blume’s novel, Are You There God? The book Me; Margaret will now be released at the end of April 2023 instead of September 16 in the same way as it was scheduled this year. DreamWorks’ Distant was just delayed until January 27, 2023, by Universal.
Although I’ve heard that Lionsgate is thrilled with the new release date for the film by Judy Blume, I’m still considering whether New Line’s feature-length adaption of Stephen King’s book Salem’s Lot, which was initially scheduled for September 9-11, will be able to beat out the competition.
Lionsgate was delighted with the way the film performed at CinemaCon and seems to be keen to give Kelly Fremon’s Craig-directed film a great beginning since there are no wide release dates scheduled for April 28 of next year.
Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) is an 11-year-old girl removed from the city of New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, where she is experiencing the messy and turbulent teen years with her new friends at an entirely new school.
She relies on her mother, Barbara (Rachel McAdams), who is also making the transition to life in the suburbs and is in love with her grandma Sylvia (Kathy Bates). She isn’t happy she left and reminds her whenever she gets a chance. Benny Safdie also appears in the film (Licorice Pizza, Good Time). The film was directed by James L. Brooks and his company, Gracie Films.
Jesus Revolution will be released on February 24, 2023, according to Lionsgate. Universal has Cocaine Bear scheduled on that day. The film, directed by Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle, tells the story of an untold Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) growing up with his ailing maternal grandmother Charlene (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) in the 1970s.
It is inspired by a true movement. Laurie and a crowd of youngsters arrive in sunny Southern California with the goal to redefine reality using any means feasible. Laurie is introduced to Linnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), who is a charismatic hippie street preacher, and the pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer). They’ve opened the door of Smith’s struggling church to a stream of teenagers who are traveling and accidentally.
The sequel is expected to release in the 2020 year. Baby Houseman will be played by Jennifer Grey again. Producer, and through their control of the Vestron collection, the present owner of the movie Lionsgate confirmed the initial release date of DD and confirmed that Grey would continue to perform her part as Baby in the appearance during CinemaCon 2022. On May 9, 2022, it was announced that the movie would be out in 2024 and with Jonathan Levine set to direct.
