Brad Pitt is making news again, and this time it’s not because he’s acting in another film or marrying another celebrity, but because he claims to suffer from prosopagnosia. Because of his condition, he is unable to distinguish people’s faces.
Brad Pitt Claims He Suffers From ‘Face Blindness’ Which ‘no One Believes’
Brad Pitt, the veteran actor and Oscar winner who will next be seen in ‘Bullet Train,’ recently said in an interview that he has difficulty recalling people’s faces.
He believes he has Prosopagnosia, a rare ‘facial blindness’ illness in which one’s ability to identify familiar faces, including one’s own, is diminished gradually.
Pitt is anxious about seeming distant, remote, unreachable, and self-absorbed while not being professionally diagnosed with the condition. In the August 2022 cover story of GQ, the 58-year-old actor stated that he would like to meet someone who has the same disease as him.
“Nobody believes me!” he said to the magazine.
According to Faceblind.org, which studies the ailment, the condition, often known as “facial blindness,” can affect up to one in every 50 individuals. People are affected differently by prosopagnosia. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, some people can’t identify familiar faces, including their family members. Others are unable to recognize unknown faces.
But this isn’t the first time he’s mentioned it in public.
In 2013, he told Esquire that he wished to isolate himself, reasoning about his long stay at home.

When The ‘Fury’ star was asked the reason to stay at home long, he told the publication in 2013 that his facial characteristics are “a mystery,” adding, “I can’t remember a face, and yet I found interest in design and aesthetics. I’m going to get it tested”.
He burst out laughing, telling about the buzzing activity in his house whether it is giggling, yelling, sobbing, or slamming, and made him feel fantastic over his disease.
He and his ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ co-star, 47, divorced in September 2016, two years after their marriage. Even though the ex-couple was pronounced legally single in April 2019, their court struggle over custody of the children and assets is still ongoing.
