The CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav revealed why the studio chose to cancel the planned HBO Max bat girl film.
During an earnings call, the CEO discussed the decision to cancel bat girl. The exec bluntly stated that they weren’t going to release a movie if they didn’t believe in it:
“We’re not going to release a movie if we don’t believe in it. That’s it. The goal is to grow the DC brand, to grow the DC characters, but also our job is to protect the DC brand, and that’s what we’re going to do.
