Once Roseanne Barr’s program was canceled. ABC canceled American comedy Roseanne, and the network also removed the show’s content from its website.
The Conners, a spinoff of the original series, debuted in three weeks with a cast and staff that were mostly the same but without Barr. She was not part of the new series and her character was eliminated.
His racist remark about Valerie Jarrett, an African-American woman who worked as a senior adviser to Barack Obama during his presidency and was recognized as one of his most effective aides, was the cause of the cancellation. After receiving intense backlash for the post, ABC quickly canceled “Roseanne”.
Later she apologized, but it was already too late. When announcing the program’s cancellation, ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey called Barr’s tweet “absurd, disgusting and inconsistent with their beliefs”.

In 2018, Roseanne Barr sent a racist message that sparked outrage online. In her tweet, she compared Valeri Jarrett to an animal.
She initially refuted the racism claims by saying she believed Jarrett was Saudi (white). She also defended herself, saying she was using Ambien at the time of the tweet. It is a medication intended to temporarily treat sleep problems.
The Ambien maker then tweeted that racism is not a documented adverse reaction to a drug from Sanofi. Barr later expressed regret and claimed his remark was incorrect and unjustifiable.
Although she was not implicated in similar cases subsequently, her earlier behavior cannot be forgotten. Some even pointed out that Peter FitzSimons’ show wasn’t canceled when he called a black official a “gorilla” on live TV. Barr’s show, however, was canceled because of his message.

Allegations of racism were once made against Roseanne Barr. In a 2018 tweet, she made a simian comparison to Valeri Jarrett.
She had expressed regret for his rude comment regarding politics and Jarrett’s appearance. She later claimed her tweet was political rather than racial during an interview with Sean Hannity.
