At the time of his death, Christian had 4,066 followers on Instagram under the username “christianvstoby”.
A recent post by Christian included a photo of him and Courtney holding hands. Since his death, Obumseli’s account has gone private, but as of August 11, 2022, he had 8,540 followers, almost double that number.

Christian Obumseli was allegedly stabbed by the model in self-defense. But on Wednesday, Hawaii police arrested her in preparation for her extradition to Florida.
Less than two years had passed since Courtney and Christian had started dating, and their union had been rocky. Police have been called to their Austin, Texas home multiple times after Courtney was arrested in Las Vegas for domestic assault.
The couple moved to Miami earlier this year, but the One Paraiso building where they were staying received numerous reports of domestic troubles and even tried to move the couple away.
According to Prieto, Christian grabbed her by the throat on the evening of April 3 and forced her to stab him.
When Courtney wasn’t charged with murder right away in April, Christian’s brother was furious, blaming her “privilege” as a “rich white woman”, not her self-defense.
Then Clenney dialed 911, saying she had stabbed him in self-defense. She was shown on camera shortly after the incident drenched in blood on her high-rise balcony.
She was detained under Florida’s Baker Act, which protects those experiencing a mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts, but was later released without being charged.
