Adam Scott is reportedly set to play the role of Uncle Ben, who has been repeatedly recast and killed on and off screen more than people would like. The role of Ben Parker goes to… Adam Scott
Adam Scott is known for portraying the role of Ben Wyatt in the American sitcom Parks and recreation. The actor had previously been cast in Sony’s upcoming multiversal tie-up with Marvel, Madame Web but the people had expected a livelier role for the actor.

Recent set photos had suggested the actor would play a variation of Peter Parker in the film. Now, according to sources at The comic circus, the 49-year-old actor will play the role of the protagonist’s openly killed uncle, Uncle Benjamin Parker. The heroic uncle who tries to stop a criminal, dying in the process has been played by many actors throughout Spider-Man iterations and remakes.
Adam Scott reportedly cast as Cosmic Spider-Man
Prior to the recent update, it was alleged that the actor would play the role of Peter Parker with the Cosmic Spider-Man variant available at his disposal. The Cosmic Spider-Man had powers such as Uni-vision (a single cosmic consciousness), forcing someone, to tell the truth, to sense the distance between atomic scale and superhuman sight.
However, it looks like the title of Cosmic Spider-Man is up for grabs now that Adam Scott will be playing Uncle Ben.
Madame Web tells the story of a woman who leads a spider-like unit/team. The lead role will be played by Dakota Johnson (from fifty shades fame), with Emma Roberts and Adam Scott in other roles.
The film is Sony’s attempt to deepen Spider-Man’s multiversal universe. With the release of Venom and Morbiusthe attempt at a spider-verse is going well for Sony.
Madame Web is slated for a release date of October 6, 2023.
