LONGWOOD, FL: A guy is being prosecuted for allegedly attacking his two young daughters with a bloody and fatal stab wound. Juan Bravo-Torres, 39, was charged with first degree premeditated murder and attempted murder on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in connection with the incredible attack on his children on July 21, 2022 in Longwood, Florida. Eva Bravo-Herrera, 3, was the child killed, according to the prosecution. Her 12-year-old sister is still alive, although in serious condition.

Investigators say the 12-year-old girl who is still alive found her father stabbing her when she woke up in July. Bravo-Torres’ eldest daughter confessed to police that she was sleeping in her brother’s bedroom when her father grabbed her by the neck. Apparently, the defendant Bravo-Torres went to acquire another knife. After leaving the room, the girl discovered her younger sister lying on the hallway floor. When police arrived, they saw a significant amount of blood inside and found Bravo-Torres unconscious in the bathroom with serious chest injuries. The father allegedly attempted suicide after allegedly slaughtering his toddler by slitting his wrists and slitting his throat, but he survived and was jailed, according to the New York Post.
The victim claimed that when her father attacked her with a knife, she pushed him away and ended up pretending to be dead in the hope that he would stop. The woman claimed her father pulled her and her younger sister into the hallway bathroom after pretending to be dead. The victim claimed that after her father turned off the bathroom lights, she saw him cut his wrists and heard what sounded like a throat bang.
Eva was found dead from stab wounds by police in the same toilet. According to police, the 12-year-old was waiting for the suspect to pass out while he was lying there. She took the knife for protection once she thought he was gone, locked the restroom from the inside and ran to the McDonald’s where her mother worked, police said.
Bravo-Torres had to undergo “emergency surgery”, which caused him to skip a court date last month. His new Seminole County mugshot shows what appears to be a scar below his neck. Records reveal he is still in ICE custody in connection with the crime, according to Law&Crime.
On July 27, the suspect pleaded not guilty. Her arraignment date is August 30, 2022. The 12-year-old was later congratulated by Longwood Police Sgt. Derek Chenoweth for his quick thinking and bravery in the face of terrifying circumstances. The level of bravery of this 12-year-old girl is quite incredible, he remarked. It is possible that adult adults could not have made this choice. And this 12-year-old boy did this; as a result of her decisions, she is still alive today.
