Other cast members include Jameela Jamil, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga, Jon Bass, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Tim Roth, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Wong, and Charlie Cox.

All the details about the series have already been shared on our website. Check them here. However, new details have emerged from clips recently released by Marvel.

The New Origin of She-Hulk

Bruce’s Gamma Blood mixed with Jennifer

Marvel comics nerds are familiar with the origin story of Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk). In the comics, Jennifer was shot and seriously injured by Nicholas Trask (killer of her parents). It was then that Bruce Banner, his cousin, decided to visit him in the hospital. Reluctantly, with no donor available, Bruce decides to provide his own blood for a transfusion. Shortly after, Bruce’s gamma-irradiated blood, combined with Jennifer’s anger, transforms her into the green-skinned She-Hulk.

However, in the latest promo video shared by Marvel Studios, Jennifer and Bruce Banner are seen meeting in a car accident. Bruce is in his normal human form, with his right hand in a sling (post-End of Game). Because of this, their open wounds mix their blood and leave Jennifer with a wacky new set of “Hulk-like” powers.

For better or worse, this origin story does a pretty quick job of moving all the pieces on the board to the positions Marvel Studios wanted. This makes it easily explainable and allows the script to establish the show at a fast pace.

A nod to Thor: Ragnarok

Spaceship in She-Hulk

One of the latest clips released showed a surprising connection between the show and Thor: Ragnarok. In the clip posted via IMDB, Jennifer Walters and Bruce Banner are riding together in a car. They have a conversation about Steve Rogers’ virginity (a popular fan theory). Finally, Walters concludes that Captain America had to be a virgin because he was too busy being the symbol of the country. In the middle of their discussion, suddenly a spaceship appears in the middle of the road. This leads to Walters crashing their car on the side of the road.

What is surprising is the design of the spaceship that appears in front of them. Closer inspection can clearly reveal that it is very similar to the spacecraft seen in Thor: Ragnarok on the trash planet of Sakaar. In particular – the “pleasure boat” belonging to the Grand Master in Thor: Ragnarok. The ship is called the Commodore and is even seen at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. However, it was destroyed by Thanos in the film using the Power Stone, so it remains to be seen who uses it and what it does on earth.

Another major cameo?

Valkyrie in Thor ragnarok

Although Thanos has never been exclusively shown to have destroyed the Commodore with the Asgardian ship. It can be speculated that the ship must have survived and was now piloted by someone else. Who could it be?

The most logical guess goes to – King Valkyrie. Valkyrie knows Bruce Banner and his alter ego well. Bruce knows her too. And Valkyrie is also now the king of New Asgard on Earth. It is therefore possible that it is she who visits Bruce after the events of Thor: Love and Thunder. This allows the car to crash. Valkyrie then takes them both to New Asgard where Bruce advises her on her new powers.

Son of the Hulk?

It was established at SDCC 2022, which Marvel is doing Love at first sight at the end of phase five. One of the key members of the Thunderbolts team is red hulk aka Thunderbolt Ross. Due to the unfortunate passing of Guillaume Blessé who had played the character so far, Marvel could recast him with a new actor. It is also rumored that a possible world war hulk The project is in the works at Marvel Studios. Although exclusive rights to the Hulk remain with Universal, if Marvel is successful, they might. For all of this to happen, Marvel will ultimately have to introduce the Hulk family. So the spaceship that appears in the clip could very well be piloted by Skar.

Skaar, in the comics, was Bruce Banner’s son of Hulk and Caiera (a Sakaar woman) who was conceived during the “Planet Hulkstoryline. In the MCU, the Hulk was banished to Sakaar for 3 years. When Thor arrives on the planet (Thor: Ragnarok), Bruce was in his Hulk form and had no memory of past events. This period, Skaar was born. And Skaar was now back on earth, eager to meet his father! This theory is getting a lot of attention due to an exclusive cover made by The Direct in June, of the Hulk’s son making an appearance on the show She-Hulk.

Considering how slowly Marvel is replacing its OG Avengers with their younger counterparts, this theory doesn’t seem too impossible. Either way, the truth will soon surface in a few days.

She-Hulk: Lawyer is set to release on Disney+ on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
