Jon Hill, musician and ex-husband of Jaclyn Hill, has died. The YouTuber made the announcement on her Instagram story. The cause of his death remains an enigma.
The cosmetics YouTuber announced on Thursday, August 11, 2022 that the 33-year-old asked him to “share this next slide…”. The following Instagram story showed:

Hill, from Houston, Texas, was 33 when he died. Throughout his career, he played in several bands and even had a YouTube channel.
He released his first album, Rebirth, in January 2019, on which he expressed his desire to fight his drug addiction.
The drummer said he started using drugs when he was 17 in a 2019 interview with Billboard. He went on to say that his drug addiction only got worse in the years that followed and it was one of the factors in his breakup with Jaclyn Hill.
The artist also revealed that his addiction caused seizures and hives.
In August 2009, Jon and Jaclyn Hill exchanged vows. Until May 2018, when Jaclyn announced they were divorcing, he was featured frequently on his ex-wife’s YouTube channel. She admitted that despite their struggles as a married couple, they “always made wonderful friends”.
Even after their divorce, Jaclyn Hill still uses Jon Hill’s last name in her professional life.
Jon said that his creative music served as a release for him during his battle with drugs and also helped him to detox.
As he offered advice for people facing similar issues, Jon said:
It is important to note that it has not been determined whether the musician’s substance use problem contributed to his death.
