Benedict Wong’s character Wong first appeared in 2016 strange doctor as a librarian at Kamar-Taj. Becoming an instant fan favorite for his Beyonce playlist and his unique laugh throughout the film, this character became a focal point for the audience to fixate on the timeline as well as the universe in which the events take place.

The world was deeply shocked when half the population of the universe turned to ashes when Thanos snapped his fingers. They were relieved when Hulk took one for the team and brought them back Avengers: Endgame. However, the Infinity Saga finale saw several major characters such as Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America meet their ultimate fates of either dying or retiring from the MCU.

A scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also seeing Wong thrown off the cliff in Wundagore could be a foreshadowing of the fate the character would face in later parts.
We hope that the character will only retire because to see him die would be a terrible flood in our eyes. Wong’s character will be seen and portrayed by Benedict Wong in the upcoming Marvel series She-Hulk: Lawyer which will stream exclusively on Disney+ starting August 17, 2022.
