All About Carol Vorderman’s Sister: Trixie Vorderman

British TV personality Carol Vorderman grew up in Prestatyn with her siblings Anton and Trixie Vorderman.

She is well known for spending 26 years (1982-2008) co-hosting the popular game show Countdown. Additionally, Carol has a reputation as a newspaper columnist and fictional author of books on nutrition and education.

As well as hosting the annual Pride of Britain Awards, Carol has written several books on detox diets. After joining the Channel 4 game show Countdown, her career officially began in 1982. She and Richard Whiteley co-hosted the program from 1982 until his death in 2005.

Before leaving the program in 2008, she then made guest appearances alongside Des O’Connor and Des Lynam. Carol began hosting other programs for various networks while on the game show, including The Pride of Britain Awards and Better Homes for ITV.

Typically, Vorderman uses social media to communicate happy posts and messages to his followers. His optimism, however, hides a difficult past. Besides being close to her older siblings, Anton and Trixie, she is candid about her upbringing.

Trixie Vorderman is Carol Vorderman’s sister.

The fact that Trixie Vorderman is Carol Vorderman’s older sister gives her the most notoriety.

She is the eldest child of her Welsh mother Edwina Jean Davies and her Dutch father Anton Vorderman. Carol, his sister, is the youngest of his parents’ three children. Three weeks after his birth, the couple separated.

The former Countdown singer told the Guardian that her father was having an affair with a 16-year-old girl while her mother was expecting Carol. When Edwina’s baby was three weeks old, she learned of the relationship and ran away.

The family were then sent to Edwina’s hometown of Prestatyn, Denbighshire, North Wales, where Trixie and her siblings had been raised by a single parent.

In 1970, Trixie’s mother married Armido Rizzi, an Italian. After ten years of marriage, the couple decided to separate. In the early 1990s, after his father’s second marriage, his first wife died.

Trixie Vorderman’s age

Trixie Vorderman is seventy-one, ten years older than her sister Carol Vorderman.

Carol was the youngest child of Tony Vorderman and Edvina Davies when she was born on December 24, 1960 in Bedford, England. Her mother led the family to Prestatyn when she separated from her father.

Anton Vorderman, Trixie’s younger brother, is sixty-nine, two years younger than Trixie and eight years older than Carol. The siblings are really close.

Carol began attending Blessed Edward Jones High School. She enrolled at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge in 1978 to study engineering. The TV personality received a third-class degree from college.

It wasn’t until 2007 that the former Countdown star discovered his Dutch ancestry. She later learned that her father had resided with the Dutch family during the Nazi occupation. Sadly, Tony passed away while filming the series.

Trixie Vorderman, Carol’s sister, is missing.

Unlike her famous sister, Carol Vorderman, Trixie chose to stay away from the spotlight.

Through her latest Instagram photos, Carol has recently been shining bright. While having fun at an opulent fitness center in Portugal, she posed for a daring photo on Instagram and shared a photo that defied her age.

With matching bottoms, the 61-year-old flaunts her well-known curves in a black and pink cropped swimwear. The Countdown star relaxes while on vacation at the fitness center at Juicy Oasis.

She posted brief videos on social media urging her followers to join her and have fun on the video-sharing app while she is also a TikTok user.

Along with her two children, Cameron and Katie, Carol was accompanied to the Pride of Britain Awards in October 2021 by her bog brother Anton Vorderman. Due to lung problems, Anton, who was residing in the Netherlands, traveled to Thailand.
