Ben Affleck celebrates half a century milestone
The American actor had a stellar career in Hollywood, beginning alongside Matt Damon and Casey Affleck in the groundbreaking 1997 film, Goodwill hunting. The script for this film (on which the three actors had worked together) won him the Oscar in 1998, making him the youngest actor to hold the title to date.

Today Ben Affleck celebrates his 50th birthday as the world remembers his contribution to the silver screen. But fans of the DC Extended Universe and the SnyderVerse are taking it a step further by starting a movement – #MaketheBatfleckMovie to pay tribute to the actor on this special day. The request goes beyond the parameters of the DCEU’s current leadership since Affleck’s appearance as Batman began within the SnyderVerse and WB Discovery CEO David Zaslav is determined not to continue the timeline to the future.

The internet revels in Batfleck’s celebration and demands his return
Ben Affleck’s career took a dramatic turn when he was cast as Gotham’s dark knight in Zack Snyder’s visionary trilogy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceand its sequel, Justice League. The world was not only critical of the casting choice, but also brutal, until the film’s premiere proved Ben Affleck’s mettle in portraying the dark caped crusader.

However, with the exit of Zack Snyder and the slow, excruciating death of the SnyderVerse timeline, the DCEU fanbase has decidedly launched yet another move for the actor to get one last hurrah before he suffers the same fate. WB Discovery, on the other hand, has other plans for the actor as he steers the DCEU in a new direction with the cancellation of bat girl (which was to reintroduce Michael Keaton’s Batman into the mix) and the surprise casting of Ben Affleck in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and the flash.
So far, Affleck’s involvement in his designated DCEU role only extends to the aforementioned two, but only time will tell if Warner Bros. decides to keep him for the future and even award him the well-deserved Batfleck movie. Here’s what Twitter has to say about the issue in question.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be created on March 17, 2023 and the flash will premiere on June 23, 2023.
