Jeff Burton, longtime DJ at 105.7 The Point in St. Louis, died Monday, nearly 17 months after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was 55 years old.
Jeff often went to concerts and other events in his area, especially the Pointfest music festival. In October 2018, he released a children’s book called “The Watering Hole”.

Jeff Burton was taken to Missouri Baptist on July 2, 2022 and received two blood transfusions and a platelet transfusion, according to his wife, Juli Burton. Jeff was able to get better, but doctors found the disease had spread to all parts of his body.
Jeff received palliative home care on Friday July 8th. Since then, Jeff’s friends, colleagues, fans and fellow broadcasters have shown the Burton family how much they care and support them.
Rizzuto felt bad when he said on July 11 that Burton, who was 55, performed his last show on July 1. He also said that Jeff had been ill for a long time and was waiting to hear from Jeff’s wife, Julie.

Julie, Jeff’s wife, said on social media that his doctors at Missouri Baptist Hospital were working hard to stabilize him and that he received two blood transfusions and a platelet transfusion at the time. Although he slowly improved, it was clear that the disease had hurt his body because his blood levels were not what they should have been.
After Jeff Burton learned he had prostate cancer, his fans wished him well on social media. His last birthday was in May 2022, which means he is 55 years old.
Burton told people he spoke to in March 2021 that he had prostate cancer. He said the diagnosis was made because a regular blood test showed PSA levels were high. He said he returned after a few months and was told his PSA levels continued to rise.
