The Italian lake where a British relative perished trying to save his son has finally delivered the remains of the man. Sources say the unfortunate event happened while Aran Chada and his family were on holiday with his 39-year-old girlfriend, Holly Mosley, son Roman, 14, and daughter Floren, 7.

The 51-year-old is said to have dived into the lake to rescue Chada’s teenage son after he got into trouble off the seaside resort of Limone while taking a boat trip with his family on Lake Garda. Although he was able to save Roman, his family watched in terror as he disappeared under the waves on July 22.
The man drowned before his 52nd birthday celebration while in Italy. At the time, a witness said: “He was able to bring the boy back to the boat, where his mother pulled him. But after that, the man disappeared, possibly having had a seizure.

One of three deaths that week on the beautiful lake, which is up to 350 meters deep, was believed to have been Chada. According to Coastguard Commander Antonio Ragadale, who spoke to Mail Online, “We were committed to finding his body so that his family could be reunited with him. It was a difficult and painful search. Since he had been so brave jumping into the lake when he saw his son in danger, it was the least we could do.
