In response to a recent post that sparked some controversy, Lana wrote an apology on Twitter.
Thanks to her time with WWE and her non-wrestling endeavors, Lana, aka CJ Perry, has gained tremendous fame over the years. On her official Twitter account, she has more than a million followers.
Recently, Perry responded to a guy who appeared to be homeless by saying he still has a mobile device to tweet from. The tweet infuriated Twitter users and the former WWE Superstar faced some serious blowbacks.
Lana tweeted extensively over the past four hours to clarify what she meant by the original post. She said she had experienced homelessness twice and had nothing but compassion for those in need.
Lana addressed the attempt to erase the horror of homelessness from her memory in another tweet. She concluded her essay by claiming that Twitter users’ abusive remarks had brought back memories of her suffering.
Twitterati didn’t seem thrilled with Lana’s apology
Before long, fans responded en masse to the star’s apology. It is apparent from the responses that her fans are not happy with the apologies she issued.
According to statistics, America has over 580,000 homeless people as of January 2020. Homelessness is obviously a very touchy subject, and many people found Lana’s initial tweet to be tone deaf.
