TV’s Guy Willison Starts Motorcycle Company
Guy Willison, a custom motorcycle builder who is best known for his work alongside Henry Cole on The Motorbike Show, started a business as 5Four Motorcycles under his own name. 5Four will produce series of limited edition bicycles with major manufacturers. The company takes its name from the call sign the founder used while working as a dispatch rider.
After several years working in the dispatch, as a mechanic and as a tuner, Willison teamed up with his childhood friend Henry Cole to create Gladstone Motorcycles. Together they built a series of nine No. 1 Gladstone motorcycles by hand in a shed.
Willison also developed and built the Gladstone Red Beard, which now holds a British land speed record for a classic 350cc motorcycle. This disc was produced in collaboration with Sam Lovegrove.
