Major ‘She-Hulk’ Moment Could Lead To Marvel’s ‘World War Hulk’

The second episode of She-Hulk: Lawyer included a major twist for Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, which could lay the groundwork for an MCU world war hulk adaptation.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW FOLLOW EPISODE 2!

Marvel fans wondered if She-Hulk could tease a world war hulk movie or series when a spaceship from the planet Sakaar appeared in the first episode. Episode 2 doubles down on the tease when the ship reappears in a surprising moment.

Mainly for She-Hulk, the moment leaves Jennifer Walters to fend for herself as her cousin Bruce Banner is removed from the picture. However, the reason for Bruce’s absence could have huge implications for his future – and that of the MCU.

She-Hulk: LawyerMark Ruffalo’s second episode confirms that Bruce Banner is moving away from Earth to revisit the planet Sakaar.

During a phone call with Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters, Bruce says he won’t be coming back to LA for a while because something happened. The camera then zooms out to reveal he is aboard the Sakaaran ship previously seen in the first episode.

Hulk was last seen in Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok, where he was a champion gladiator on the planet ruled by Grandmaster Jeff Goldblum. This film adapted elements from Planet Hulk scenario, which led to world war hulk in comics.

Several key elements of Planet Hulk who paved the way for world war hulk – like Hulk starting a family in Sakaar – didn’t make one Thor: Ragnarok. This could mean that the MCUs world war hulk will be a very different story to its comic book counterpart, or may just suggest that Marvel is about to reveal a whole lot more about the Hulk’s time in Sakaar that wasn’t shown in Ragnarok.

Whether She-Hulk sets up a world war hulk adaptation, it may also herald the end of “Smart Hulk” and the return of the original Hulk. Perhaps returning to Sakaar, where he was happier than on Earth, will see Hulk choose to return.

Here is the synopsis of She-Hulk: Lawyer:

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single thirty-something lawyer who also happens to be a 6-foot-7 green superpowered hulk.”

Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Lawyer stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
