She-Hulk – Abomination
Episode 2 of She-Hulk is out! And those 30 minutes were meant to show the repercussions of superhero identities being revealed. Apart from all other things, Jennifer Walters aka Chick Hulk aka She-Hulk got a new job at the superhero legal division.
The first case she has to handle is that of Emil Blonsky, aka Abomination. We all know what he did in The Incredible Hulk. And it’s great of Marvel to tie the story to The Incredible Hulk.
The hesitation was justified
Jennifer was reluctant to take on the case, as Emil Blonsky tried to kill Bruce, her cousin, who was holding her down. She then met Emil where he was being held. There was a brief discussion about how Emil thinks he’s the good guy but behind bars. And how Hulk, the threat at the time, is considered a hero and lives peacefully somewhere in the world.
Jennifer talks to Bruce about it before taking on the case. And after a sweet brother-sister conversation, Jennifer takes care of the case.
Has the Abomination really changed?
Emil says he doesn’t want to turn into an Abomination anymore, but wants to live a peaceful life. But, we have seen how manipulative he can be in his words. He was a highly decorated soldier and resents the government punishing him for following orders.
So, we can expect Abomination to play a game in the cell to manipulate Jennifer into getting out on parole. As the Hulk is off worlds, if Abomination makes a scene in the city, we might see our She-Hulk deal with him once and for all.
As the story progresses, it’s not yet clear whether there may be a serious or emotional fighting angle in the episode. Let’s see if Abomination turns out to be the big bad in this Marvel series.
A vote for Abomination with concern for the first two episodes!
