Agatha Harkness shot to fame after making her MCU appearance in the villainous miniseries WandaVision. Agatha Harkness’ character development in the Disney Plus series was very different from that shown in the comics, and the program omitted key details about the witch’s mysterious past. Many people don’t know this, but Agatha Harkness has a surprising story.
That being said, here are some facts I’m sure you didn’t know about Agatha Harkness.
1. Found an ebony friend
Many witches depend on parents, who are creatures whose souls have been taken over by evil forces. These companions are frequently kitties and black cats in particular. Similarly, Agatha seems to have a black cat named Ebony who serves as her favorite. Ebony, her familiar, is a strong being from another realm who sometimes takes the form of a cat.
Due to their psychic connection, Agatha often assigns Ebony missions for her. When threatened, Ebony can transform into a huge monster with incredible agility and ferocious fangs. Not only is it very difficult to break, but the only method to destroy it is to scatter its molecular components over a large region.
2. Not very kind to his own
Despite being a witch, Agatha Harkness took several precautions to ensure his own safety. In New Salem, where she entered a clan of witches that had been there for generations. Agatha eventually became the heady cocktail of the group and betrayed some of her fellow witches to those responsible for their deaths.
She accomplished this secretly while her true mission was to purge New Salem of its less powerful witches. Does darkness lurk in Agatha Harkness’s heart? Certainly not! In the comics, she does both good and evil, mostly existing in the gray region between the two extremes.
3. A Soldier of War
Agatha has been alive for quite some time, and during her existence she has used her magical abilities to help humanity on several occasions. She, like many others, came to America seeking opportunity and refuge from oppression; when the Revolutionary War broke out, she fought for the fledgling country, supporting the Daughters of Liberty and sometimes even teaching them to use witchcraft.
Also, she ended the Nazi threat nicknamed Hilda Von Hate by joining the Department of Weirdness and fighting against the supernatural side of the Axis forces throughout World War II.
4. Not a good friend either
Agatha Harkness’ tenure as Franklin’s babysitter with the Fantastic Four came to an end and she eventually joined the Scarlet Witch team. Agatha took on the role of babysitter for Vision and Scarlet Witch’s newborns.
When they were first designed, Agatha Harkness, as well as Mephisto, had a hand. wanda used her sorcery to make her offspring, and Agatha knows full well that she had included pieces of Mephisto’s mind in the process. The children fled, and Agatha erased their thoughts from Wanda’s memory.
5. She was also a teacher for Wanda
Agatha Harkness, who lost two children, is now trying to help wanda learn to master its chaotic abilities. Agatha, along with the Avengers, recognized that Scarlet Witch had formidable abilities and needed guidance in learning to harness her strength.
Doctor Strange said he volunteered to help Wanda, but she needed to prioritize her work with the Avengers. The Scarlet Witch was able to bring Wonder Man back thanks to Agatha’s help in making Wanda more powerful. Although she had access to these abilities, she never understood how to use them properly.
6. One of the most powerful witches
Agatha is one of the most fearsome magicians in the Marvel Universe. Given that Agatha has been alive for centuries, exploring the world and absorbing as much magical knowledge as she can. Do not meddle with someone who can convince a being from another realm to serve him by turning into a cat.
Through the use of her powers, Agatha was able to stay alive for what seems like an eternity, revive multiple times, and aid Marvel comics superheroes in their fights when it serves her purposes. Although she is not the Supreme Witch, her magic is quite powerful.

After Wanda established a new planet in House of M and was branded an Eternal Enemy by the X-Men on M-Day, she truly fell out of favor. When she realized her children were alive and taken from her, she quickly lost the trust of even her superhero friends. In the same arc, Wanda killed Agatha after discovering her involvement in the deception, then turned against the rest of the Avengers.
