It’s no secret that much of the press behind the upcoming DCEU movie the flash was marred by the controversies of its star, Ezra Miller. But with this situation continuing to fluctuate after Miller’s public apology, his commitment to seek treatment, and his recent visit to the Warner Bros. lot. to meet executives, the film seeks to continue its post-production process. Director Andy Muschietti recently celebrated his birthday, and now he’s gotten one hell of a surprise.
Andy Muschietti’s sister, Barbara Muschietti, who is also a producer on flash, shared a video on his official Instagram featuring composer Benjamin Wallfisch conducting an orchestra, performing a special arrangement of “Happy Birthday” with an intro that certainly sounds like a snippet from the DCEU movie score.
In the same way flash, Benjamin Wallfisch also composed Andy Muschietti’s scores THIS duology, as well as that of Denis Villeneuve blade runner 2049, and David F. Sandberg Curfew and the DCEU movie Shazam!.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay written by Birds of prey scribe Christina Hodson, the flash is inspired by Breaking point comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint dramatically changed the status of the DC Comics Universe and led to the launch of all 52 new titles.
Besides Ezra Miller, the flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two distinct versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul, and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
