Marvel Theory Says Miles Morales Will Join MCU When Secret Wars Ends

The introduction of Miles Morales into the vast landscapes of the MCU has long been the subject of various speculations. Although there were some small rumors that Spider-Man: No Coming Home could introduce the character, they all turned out to be vague and nothing else. Although there are still various theories and rumors to bring the character to MCU, a new theory claims that Avengers: Secret Wars will do what is necessary. According to a recent emerging theory, Secret Wars will do something that will bring Miles Morales and Peter Parker into the same universe.

Will Miles Morales make his Secret Wars debut?

Miles Morales is the Spider-Man of the ultimate universe, Earth-1610. He is also bitten by a genetically modified spider and becomes the Spider-Man of this alternate universe after the death of the original Spider-Man aka Peter Parker. Now, according to a new theory from IGN, this new spidey could finally be coming to the MCU in Avengers: Secret Wars.

This new theory explains that after the jaw-dropping events of Secret Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will undergo some shocking changes, including Miles Morales and Peter Parker in the same universe. We know that Secret Wars will follow the storyline of the comics of the same name and feature a collision of universes. This already sets up a wide range of characters appearing in different universes and the appearance of Morales can also happen in the same way.

Miles Morales already exists in the MCU?

The Easter egg of Miles Morales in Homecoming
Miles Morales’ uncle Aaron Davis appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming

It’s a very notable fact that we already have our Miles Morales in MCU. In Spider-Man: Homecoming we were shown Miles’ uncle Aaron Davis who mentioned his nephew and in the deleted scene he even mentions Miles’ name.

These Easter eggs didn’t stop like in No coming home, between a conversation between Spider-Man and Electro, they mentioned that maybe somewhere there is a Black Spider-Man in any universe. So it’s very interesting how MCU has already planted seeds of Miles Morales from before only in the MCU.

Morales even exists as a protagonist in Sony’s animation Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse but it doesn’t look like he can make it to the MCU because the universes are way too different.

Adding more to the speculation, a while ago even Tom Holland said he didn’t want to play Spider-Man in his thirties and wanted to hand over to Miles Morales or someone else:

“What I was basically trying to say is if I’m 30 and I’m still playing Spider-Man, and I haven’t handed over to a Miles Morales or a Spider-Woman or something more diverse, then I’ll have done something wrong in the sense of duty that I have to the character. Not, like, ‘If I play Spider-Man in my thirties, I’m a has-been wash.'”

But with another trilogy starring Holland reportedly in development, it’s questionable if he’ll really pass on the baton. While on the other hand, as this theory suggests, it might be possible for Miles Morales to co-exist with Peter Parker after Secret Wars.

Avengers: Secret Wars is set to release on November 7, 2025.
