House of the Dragon Scenario
After House of the Dragon Episode 1 and Episode 2, we have a clear idea of the many angles from which the main drama would actually begin. As Game of Thrones fans, you are already pondering all the possibilities of who is about to die and who is about to rule the Iron Throne.
Game of Thrones taught us that every character you love has a chance of dying. So be careful when you start to like any of the House of the Dragon characters.
Let’s talk about the evolution of this story in relation to the different plot branches that will soon be created by the writers of the episode. Each branch or plot will be connected to the Iron Throne, which is also possibly replicated in the House of the Dragon Episode 2 opening credits.
Rhaenyra chosen as heir to the Iron Throne
The first episode showed us how Daemon Targaryen was banished from duty to the throne and Rhaenyra was chosen as the rightful heir. No lady has ever sat on the Iron Throne, and it’s a branch of this story that will lead to chaos and rivalries in the future.
Daemon looked up to Rhaenyra as his uncle. But, sooner or later, the envy of the throne will devour him and he may rebel against Princess Rhaenyra. Otherwise, Lord Corlys Velaryon is already furious because King Viserys rejected the marriage proposal to his daughter.
His wife, Rhaenys Targaryen, mocked Rhaenyra saying: “These men will burn everything down before they see a woman sitting on the iron throne.
Rhaenyra believes she will be queen one day. But her father’s new marriage to her best friend Alicent Hightower will change a lot of things in the future.
According to the story in the book, Alicent Hightower will give birth to two sons and a daughter. She will be the mother of Prince Aegon, Prince Aemond and Princess Helaena. And then the friendship between Alicent and Rhaenyra will no longer be cherished.
Alicent will want her sons to sit on the Iron Throne, while Rhaenyra will intend to retain her rightful right to the Iron Throne. Things could go wrong from this angle.
Daemon Targaryen will be furious at being banned
We haven’t seen Daemon being aggressive for criticism and banishment so far. But according to the second episode, Lord Corlys has approached Daemon to help prove his worth to people who don’t know him. In the meantime, he wants to save himself and his fleets from the crab eaters.
Daemon surely plans to take this opportunity and kill the crab feeders with a single breath of fire by his dragon. As King Viserys was against attacking the Free Cities, Lord Corlys had doubts. Demon killing these crab feeders will make the king more furious with him. And this time, the critics will haunt him more than before.
He will seek revenge and will certainly be a strong character in the future, to challenge the Iron Throne. Demon flipping the dragon egg so easily is something that always shows he’s good from within. And another example to prove that he is not seeking revenge yet is when Lord Corlys spoke ill of King Viserys.
Demon replied “I will say what I want for my brother. You do not do”.
