A scene deleted from Thor: Love and Thunder was released online, featuring Chris Hemsworth’s Thor meeting Simon Russell Beale as Zeus’ youngest son, Dionysus.
Russell Crowe plays Zeus, the king of the Greek gods, in Thor: Love and Thunder and a post-credits scene reveals Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein as his most popular son, Hercules. However, this new deleted scene reveals that Dionysus was also meant to appear in the film at some point.
Dionysus was the Greek god of wine and he certainly seems to have had a few drinks in his suppressed version. love and thunder stage.
The scene sees Thor, Korg and Valkyrie arrive at Omnipotence City – it’s possible Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster was added to the unfinished scene later – where they ask Dionysus where they might find Zeus.
The drunken god is seen being pulled on a chariot and fed grapes by his lackeys. When he stops to talk with Thor and the others, he reveals that he is the youngest son of Zeus, despite looking a few years older than Hercules. He also seems blissfully oblivious to Gorr the Butcher God.
