Phase 4 of the MCU introduced us to several new heroes and characters. These guys weren’t around during Captain America: Civil War. By watching their movies and shows, it is quite easy to understand their personality. However, the question remains which side would these characters have taken? Would they have been Team Captain America or Team Iron Man?
1. Shang-Chi – Team Iron Man
He would definitely have been Team Iron Man. Shang Chi saw how power can corrupt people and vehemently opposed his father. This means that he would side with control and supervision to keep the supers in check.
2. Yelena Belova – Team Captain America
She would be Team Cap. Although his sister was originally Team Iron Man, she changed at the last minute and helped Cap. In addition, Elena already lives as an outlaw and appears in the MCU as an anti-hero who currently works under The Countess.
3. Doctor Strange – Team Captain America
Doctor Strange doesn’t have much respect for authority and certainly doesn’t like taking orders. Even during Doctor Strange, he openly displayed the Ancient One until she showed him her place. This means that Strange would definitely side with Cap as he wouldn’t trust the government.
4. Wong – Team Iron Man
The Sorcerer Supreme, Wong, meanwhile, would side with Iron Man. He is known to be the manager who prefers to make and keep peace by finding common ground. In the MCU, Wong proves to be a true approachable and trustworthy leader. So many qualities that would lead him to avoid any kind of conflict.
5. Sylvie – Team Captain America
This variant of Loki known as Sylvie is fiercely defiant and would never support a global authoritarian organization. In the MCU since she was a toddler, the TVA destroyed her timeline and she’s on the loose on her own. She is used to depending only on herself. This makes his Team Cap all the way.
6. Fantastic Four – Team Iron Man
Although the Fantastic Four have yet to be introduced, they would definitely be part of the Iron Man team. First, Mr. Fantastic has worked with Iron Man several times in the comics and often collaborates on projects and inventions. More importantly, the Fantastic Four are a group who have worked closely with authority and would not want to cause any disruption.
7. Ms. Marvel – Team Iron Man
Kamala would be Team Iron Man all the way. After all, she’s an ally of SHIELD and Captain Marvel, both of whom are tied to the government. She also meets Nick Fury.
8. Moon Knight – Team Captain America
He would be Team Cap because the mercenary in him would not comply with any document in the world. After all, Moon Knight draws the line between hero and villain.
9. Ikaris – Team Iron Man
In MCU’s Eternals, Ikaris showed his undying devotion to Arishem, the highest authority. He even killed Ajak for it. This indicates that he would be Team Iron Man. Plus, he would most likely be the one to carry out UN orders and make Team Cap give in.
10. Sersi – Team Captain America
On the other hand, Sersi would be Team Cap. She openly defied Arishem’s orders and literally killed a Celestial. Thus, she would not trust the government or any other watchdog organization.
11. America Chavez – Team Captain America
Chavez received the harsh end many times throughout her life and was even captured by the Illuminati as she was literally hunted by Scarlet Witch. She was eventually aided by Doctor Strange in her quest and would definitely be Team Cap.
12. She-Hulk – Team Iron Man
First, Jen would not participate in the Civil War at all. But since every hero has to make a decision, she would choose Team Iron Man. This is mainly because She-Hulk likes to fight bad guys within the confines of law and order. She fights her battles in court and wins them.
