‘The Little Mermaid’ Star Halle Bailey Reveals Her Dream ‘X-Men’ Role

The little Mermaid Star Halle Bailey has revealed she has a dream role in the MCU as a certain X-Men character.

D23 Expo 2022 is currently underway, and Halle Bailey of R&B and Pop duo Chloe X Halle made a special appearance at the event, during which she debuted the first trailer for her upcoming film. The little Mermaid, in which she will play Ariel. Given her current ties to Disney, she’d naturally be asked about a potential role in their biggest franchise: the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Interestingly enough, the actress and pop star already has her sights set on the X-Men.

When asked by Variety about potentially playing a Marvel superhero, Halle Bailey revealed an X-Men character she’d like to play after debuting in The little Mermaid:

“I think any Marvel superhero would be just amazing. I mean I love Storm…I love so many of them. I mean it would be just cool.

Marvel Studios’ current plans to reintroduce the X-Men remain unknown, beyond an appearance by Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and a tease in the final of Mrs Marvel, it’s only a matter of time before we learn more about mutants. However, given Halle Bailey’s current trajectory since The little Mermaid and potentially more, it would make sense to consider her for roles like Storm in the MCU. Also, Marvel already has another pop star in Harry Styles as part of its massive superhero roster. Why not add another?

While we wait for the future of the X-Men, here’s the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ next film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever:
