Marvel’s Thor Actor Chris Hemsworth Has Revealed He’s Unsure About Returning To The MCU After His Recent Appearance In love and thunder.
Thor: Love and Thunder marked Chris Hemsworth’s fourth solo outing as the God of Thunder and his eighth overall appearance in the MCU, counting his appearances in the avengers series. However, Hemsworth isn’t sure if he’ll return to Marvel.
The Thor actor recently revealed he’s unsure about his future in Marvel and is aware love and thunder may well be his last MCU outing.
Chris Hemsworth opened up about his potential MCU future in the behind-the-scenes special Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder on Disney+.
Hemsworth raised the possibility of love and thunder become its final Thor film while talking about the making of the film. The actor revealed that he approached filming knowing the film could be his Marvel swan song.
Chris Hemsworth said of Thor: Love and Thunder:
“I’ve loved every time I’ve played the character. It’s been ten years for most of us now, and this might be the last time I’ve played the character. I was certainly aware of this during filming.
He then discussed the opportunity to complete his Marvel experience in his home country of Australia:
“It was an amazing shoot. If it was the latter, it’s incredibly fitting to finish here in Australia. It’s really so, so special to be able to do that at all.
Thor: Love and Thunder certainly leaves the door open for more Asgardian Avengers appearances in the future, but could also serve as a fitting final chapter in his MCU story. If Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is brought back for another Marvel appearance, the next Avengers: Secret Warswhich is expected to be another big crossover event, could be a fitting venue for his return.
