Brendan Fraser recently spoke a bit more about the cancellation of Warner Bros. Discovery bat girl.
Brandan Fraser is currently getting Oscar buzz for his performance in Daren Aronofsky The whale. The 53-year-old actor also notably played Firefly in the bat girl film with Leslie Grace which will never see the light of day.
Fraser disappointed with decision
The chief financial officer of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Gunnar Wiedenfels recently defended the decision to remove bat girland Brendan Fraser addressed those comments and the cancellation of the film as a whole while speaking with Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend:
“Well, stop talking about it because Gunnar Wiedenfels doesn’t want people to think about it, that’s what I read… It’s disappointing.” Fans really wanted to see this movie made. Leslie Grace is a dynamo. The film was shot and designed for a smaller screen. In that time we came out of between the streaming service and theatrical release, it ended up being the canary in the coal mine. What have we learned from this?
