Bob Odenkirk, who is known for playing the sleazy character of Saul Goodman on AMC You better call Saul (2015-2022) found himself competing for the Emmy award for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series”. Much to the dismay of fans, the actor lost the Emmy but held his head high after the ceremony. This is the 5th time that Bob Odenkirk has been nominated for an Emmy but has yet to win one.

Bob Odenkirk robbed of his Emmy win once again

Saul Goodman’s character was seen in an episode titled “Better Call Saul” in breaking Bad (2008-2013). After they met, Saul Goodman became a fan-favorite to the people due to his skillful speech and unique style of plea that acquitted any criminal. After “Felina” by Breaking Bad, the prequel series based on the life of Saul Goodman was quickly announced and fans rejoiced.

The actor took to Twitter with an adorable photo of fellow star Rhea Seehorn to talk about his gratitude for the show and how it means so much more to him.

The actor had wonderful chemistry with his co-star Rhea Seehorn on set as well as longtime friends such as Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould who previously worked with the Nobody actor in Breaking Bad. The award went to Lee Jung-jae who was praised for his acting skills in squid game (2021-).

Bob Odenkirk has previous acting and comedy experience, but the role of Saul Goodman gave him the big break he was looking for. It was soon revealed to the public that the Albuquerque-based attorney’s real name was Jimmy McGill and had a brother named Chuck McGill.

This is the 5th time Bob Odenkirk has been nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Since the creation of Jimmy McGill in 2015, he has been nominated in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022 for You better call Saul.

Although he was nominated 5 times for the same award for his work on the same series, the actor has yet to receive his Emmy. You better call Saul is available to stream on AMC.
