MODOK joins the MCU in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and new merchandise for the movie offer a first look at the character’s live-action redesign.
The upcoming third installment in Marvel’s The ant Man The franchise will welcome major villains into the MCU. It will mark the debut of Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror and will see MODOK – the mental organism designed only to kill – make its first live appearance.
While fans who attended Marvel’s Comic-Con panel in San Diego in July got a brief glimpse of MODOK in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, a new merchandise image reveals a better look at the supervillain.
A picture of a Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania t-shirt has surfaced online, revealing the film’s new masked look for MODOK.
MODOK has always looked a bit odd, and it resembles its MCU design hues close to its comic book look, but with the addition of a mask covering its oversized face. Whether or not the mask will be a permanent feature remains to be seen.

It is not yet known what the role of MODOK will be in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniathough he will serve as a secondary antagonist to Jonathan Majors’ Kang.
In the comics, MODOK’s true identity was George Tarleton, an AIM scientist, but rumors suggest that 2015’s Corey Stoll’s Darren Cross The ant Man may be the MCU’s MODOK. If so, the character’s mask could simply be a way to keep their true identity from being revealed.
Ant-Man and the Wasp last appeared in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the synopsis of the film:
