Anthony Mackie recently discussed the current direction of the MCU ahead of his upcoming role in Captain America: New World Order and the actor praised She-Hulk: Lawyer.
She-Hulk is the latest MCU series coming to Disney Plus. It stars Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, who finds herself absorbing her cousin’s gamma-infused blood after a car accident and transforming her into the She-Hulk.
She-Hulk unfolds like a groundbreaking legal comedy, something that won the approval of Anthony Mackie, whose last Marvel appearance was also on Disney Plus in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
In an interview with IMDb, Anthony Mackie reflected on Sam Wilson’s evolution during his time in the MCU and the actor pointed out She-Hulk as an example of the freedom that Marvel offers its writers.
Asked what hardware he should be working with in the next few Captain America: New World Order and the work that Marvel had done recently, Mackie said, “I’m thrilled! I mean, She-Hulk was great… It’s just different from their norm. You might see Marvel give writers the chance to spread their wings and look at the Marvel Universe in a different way.
