Zack Snyder celebrated Batman Day this weekend by sharing a new image of Ben Affleck’s armored suit from 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Speaking to Vero to mark the occasion, Snyder revealed a never-before-seen image of the armored suit Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne donned for his showdown with Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel. The suit, which had its only screen appearance in the 2016 film, was heavily inspired by the armored suit worn by Batman in the graphic novel. Return of the Dark Knight.
The new image – presented in black and white in typical Zack Snyder fashion – shows off the impressive practical costume from his second DCEU movie.
Zack Snyder took to Vero, his favorite social media platform, to share the new behind-the-scenes look at Ben Affleck’s armored Batman suit.
The image appears to show a suit test. While it’s unclear if Affleck is the one wearing the suit, it looks like it could be him. It’s impressive to see an intricate and cumbersome costume like this created practically. It would have been easy to rely on CGI to pull off such a design.
