Ant-Man 2 Star Hannah John-Kamen Discusses Ghost’s Thunderbolts Return

Hannah John-Kamen returns to the MCU as Ghost for the first time since appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in the 2024 team-up film Love at first sight.

Love at first sight will see John-Kamen’s Ghost team up with Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell’s US Agent, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina. Everyone on this team walks the thin line between hero and villain.

Ghost lacks the ego of some of her teammates and is certainly less used to being part of a team. Hannah John-Kamen recently opened up about how it will affect her when she is recruited by the Thunderbolts.

While speaking to ComicBook.com at D23 Expo, Hannah John-Kamen reflected on how Ghost’s personality might make her an awkward addition to the Love at first sight line up.

Speaking about returning to Ava Starr’s role in the MCU, John-Kamen touched on the character’s reclusive nature and the difficulty she has in connecting with others. It will obviously be a challenge for Ghost to adapt to working alongside other anti-heroes.

Hannah John-Kamen said of Ghost’s upcoming MCU return:

“Well, she doesn’t like to be touched…So that’s going to be interesting.” She’s pretty social, well, she’s not social. She was, she grew up in the van. So she never had human contact with anyone. So it’s going to be interesting for Ghost to connect.

Hannah John-Kamen’s final appearance as Ghost was the main antagonist of Ant-Man and the Wasp. It is not yet known if she will have a role in the sequel of the film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniabut if so, it could be used to define its role in Love at first sight.
