We have already explored Exceed who is another daredevil supervillain and is expected to appear in She-Hulk. But there’s a horde of other obscure Marvel villains who will appear in what is most likely a cameo alongside Emil Blonsky aka Abomination. They’ll be part of Abomination’s villain support group and they’re the epitome of wacky and weird. Their characters will likely only make a brief appearance in She-Hulk with fellow supervillain Porcupine. Still, it’s great that the MCU is exploring some of the lesser-known and funniest villains in Marvel comics. Here’s an exploration of two of those Daredevil villains, Matador and Man-Bull, who will soon appear in She-Hulk with Porcupine.
Discovering Manuel Eloganto alias Matador
Manuel Eloganto was a vicious and brutal bullfighter. Despite his cruelty, he was world class in his profession and excellent at what he did. The Matador was a tall man who stood 6 feet tall and was heavyset. Nevertheless, much of the public despised him due to his cruel ways. During one such show, he was distracted by the audience as they booed him. This caused a major accident. A distracted Manuel Eloganto could not protect himself from the approaching bull ready to attack him. The bull struck him, horns first and badly injured him. Unfortunately, this single incident completely changed his view of the world. He blamed the public and the people of the world for his accident and vowed revenge. This is how he became the Matador and plunged headfirst into a life of crime.
He had no superpowers. The Matador simply used his strength, agility, and fighting abilities to further his career as a villain. After beginning his journey as a criminal, he developed a rivalry with Daredevil and had constant run-ins with him. He even collaborated with Man-Bull in one of his missions. You must be wondering how the Matador ended up in Abomination’s support group. Well, he actually left the world of crime and turned over a new leaf. He paid his debt to society and wanted to be a better man for his family. So he became another reformed villain. Although there was another instance where he ended up attacking Daredevil because he was manipulated and brainwashed by The Ringmaster.
Explore the bull-man
William Taurens aka Man-Bull was a villain from the start. He kidnapped people from the streets and then provided them as test subjects for the Professor to conduct his experiments. And that’s how he faced Daredevil who defeated him quite easily and stopped the kidnapping for good. And that’s when Man-Bull decided to subject himself to experiments to prove his worth to his bosses after failing in his previous task. So he received injections of the Man-Bull serum which turned him into a tall monster with horns and all.
After gaining his powers, he started the abductions again only to be defeated by Daredevil again. Only this time he was sent to prison for his actions. During the fight, he became William Taurens again and that’s how he was in prison. However, his partner Itch managed to get him some more Man-Bull Serum to make his change permanent. Using his powers, he escaped from prison. That’s when he really became a villain. He never really reformed. Man-Bull’s story ended when he became a patient at the Ravencroft Institute for Criminally Insane. So it could be that he reformed over time and even found Emil Blonsky from here.
Man-Bull has had a number of failed attempts to become a villain. After escaping from prison, he tried infusing the Man-Bull Serum into New York’s water supply. He failed once again as Daredevil stopped him. He then even fought the Hulk. Once, Man-Bull collaborated with Hercules the demigod to take down a villain. One thing to note, the Man-Bull in She-Hulk doesn’t appear to be fully transformed. So his story might be a little different from this one.
